Two drug peddlers nabbed near Namrup railway station

A team led by Neelkamal Baruah, the officer-in-charge of Namrup Police Station, arrested two youths with around 50 grams of banned suspected heroin

NAHARKATIA: A team led by Neelkamal Baruah, the officer-in-charge of Namrup Police Station, arrested two youths with around 50 grams of banned suspected heroin kept in four soap cases near Namrup railway station in a raid conducted on the basis of a tip-off. According to police source, the two arrested peddlers have been identified as Bishal Gowala (21) and Palash Bora (30). During the raid, Namrup police managed to seize 50 grams of banned heroin in four soap cases. Till the time of writing the report, the police have registered a case number 25/23 under Section 21B/29 of the NDPS Act and investigation going on.
