Guwahati: Two wild elephants were found dead on Saturday from the Rani reserve forest in the outskirts of Guwahati.
According to forest officials' initials reports, the cause of death is being suspected to be due to electrocution.
The locals found the elephants lying and informed the forest officials.
As per preliminary reports, the elephants stepped out of the forest in search of food. This is the second incident of elephant dying due to electrocution in Assam.
