Two poachers shot at, got injured at Manas National Park

BARPETA: Two poachers got injured at Dadhora camp, Musalpur division of Bhuyanpara range at Manas National Park when forest officials shot at them. They were admitted at the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, Barpeta. Kameswar Bodo, Range officer of Bhuyanpara range, shot at these two poachers. After they were shot at, they tried to flee despite their injuries. But forest officials of Kokilabari beat office caught them. The poachers were identified as Dharmendra Wari and Gopal Mogor. Kameswar Bodo, range officer, and Kokilabari beat officer Hipanka Das caught both of them and recovered from them five handmade pistols, several live cartridges and meat of wild pig from them.
