UDALGURI: The Udalguri district 6th Schedule Working TET (2013) Teachers' Association has demanded early regularization of their posts.
The teachers' association has also vehemently protested against the BTC education department's advertisement which mentions allotment of additional 50 marks to TET candidates who were appointed for six months in 2015, for appointment in regular post. "If they are eligible for this then why not those who were appointed in 2013?" said the teachers' association.
The association alleged a conspiracy behind this idea to deprive them. Moreover, the advertisement is for appointment to 427 posts while more than 2,000 teachers are rendering their services in the region. "We have not seen any science teachers' posts for regularization, but there are many Bodo science teachers working in the area," said the teachers' association.
The association has threatened to move the Gauhati High Court if the government fails to resolve the issue. Nerswn Boro, president, and Dhrubajyoti Sarma, general secretary of the association, has demanded the government to resolve the issue immediately.
