UDALGURI: The Udalguri district administration observed anti-terrorism day and pledged against terrorism. The meeting was presided over by Prakash Ranjan Gharphalia, Udalguri Deputy Commissioner. He thanked the administration officials for their services during the pandemic crisis. The meeting was also attended by ADCs Pradip Kumar Sutradhar and Anup Kumar Brahma, SDO (S) Shyamanta Ravi Bara, and other officers.

HAILAKANDI: Coinciding with the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Anti-Terrorism Day was observed keeping in practice the social distancing norms in Hailakandi district.

The day was observed in the government offices with officials and employees expressing their strong resolve to defeat the sinister forces of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Employees of several government offices across the district took the anti-terrorism pledge solemnly expressing their abiding faith in India's tradition of non-violence and tolerance, and affirming to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence. They also pledged to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and to fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.

Considering the prevailing COVID-19 situation and to avoid large public gatherings, government employees here took the anti-terrorism pledge solemnly in their offices while strictly adhering to social distancing norms.
