Assam: Unidentified Dead Body Recovered in Jamugurihat

JAMUGURIHAT: An unidentified body of a man was recovered in Nabeel of Toudhanga in Jamugurihat of Assam. The body was recovered near the railway track in the region.

According to the police, the dead body was discovered in a drain located between the National Highway Number 15 and the railway track by the local people. They called in the police and a team from the Jamuguri Police Station arrived at the spot.

Expected to be over 60 years of age, the police was not able to ascertain if the reason of death of the victim was due to natural causes, suicide or murder. The police team sent the dead body for post mortem procedure and initiated an investigation into the matter.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a big fire broke out at the cancer center in Dibrugarh after an electric transformer caught fire. According to reports, the incident happened on June 7 at around 4 am near the hospital's electric transformer. The hospital building houses the highly advanced indoor type dry transformer. There may have been a transformer short circuit.

Firemen arrived quickly and put out the fire. So yet, no injuries have been recorded. The Assam Cancer Care Foundation is in charge of overseeing the cancer hospital that is situated on the Assam Medical College Campus.

In the year 2022, former Tata Sons chairman Ratan Tata and Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated seven cutting-edge cancer facilities in Assam. In addition, seven new cancer institutes in Assam had their foundations established by PM Modi and Tata.

The Assam Medical College in the Dibrugarh district was visited by the prime minister. He then gave the country a dedication speech at the Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital.
