Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju visits Nagaon

NAGAON: With a day long agenda, Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju visited Nagaon on Sunday. During his visit, the minister also attended a party meeting held for reviewing party's strategies to retain Nagaon Lok Sabha seat in the next Parliamentary election at Nagaon Binapani Natyamandir auditorium.

The minister graced the occasion as the party's central observer. During the meeting, the minister interacted with the party leaders as well as other party's grassroots workers of utmost 9 LACs under Nagaon Parliamentary Constituency in context of the party activities as well as its strategic planning and estimation for retaining Nagaon Parliamentary seat in 2024 General Election.

The central committee of the Saffron party has given special accountability to minister Kiren Rijiju for three Parliamentary constituencies like Nagaon, Kaliabor and Barpeta this time and as a part of it, the minister today took part in a party meeting for preparing a feasible strategy to retain Nagaon Parliamentary seat in coming General Election to be held in 2024.

The Central Minister was accompanied by State Water Resources and Public Relations Department Minister Pijjush Hazarika, BJP MLAs - Rupak Sarma, Jitu Goswami, Sibu Mishra and Ramkrishna Ghosh.

Earlier the minister along with party activists enjoyed PM Modi's special radio programme, 'Mann ki baat' here too. The minister later in the afternoon went to Amoni-based State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development where he also participated in a slew of programmes.

While speaking to some local media persons soon after the party meeting, the Central Minister Rijiju said here that the people of all constituencies from where BJP MLAs as well as BJP MPs were elected, were getting direct benefits of the Modi government. "Hence the party is trying its best to retain Nagaon Parliamentary seat in coming general election as the constituency was being kept under the Saffron flag for long by the ruling BJP," Rijiju said.
