Union Minister Rameswar Teli inaugurates majestic high-mast tricolour in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH: Union Minister of State for Petroleum, Natural Gas, Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli on Sunday inaugurated a majestic high-mast national flag at the Chowkidinghee Playground under Dibrugarh. Union Minister Teli also handed over 11 Royal Enfield (Bullet) motorcycles to Dibrugarh Police.

The motorcycles, each costing Rs 1.80 lakh, were handed over to 11 police stations of the district viz., Dibrugarh, Barbaruah, Duliajan, Khowang, Naharkatia, Tingkhong, Joypur, Namrup, Moran, Tengakhat and Lahoal in a function held at Chowkidinghee field. The occasion was attended by Dibrugarh MLA Prashanta Phukan, Assam Tourism Development Corporation chairman Rituparna Baruah, Dibrugarh Municipal Board chairman Dr Saikat Patra, and other dignitaries.

The minister later inaugurated another high-mast tricolour at Mahatma Gandhi Park, Khanikar.
