BARPETA: In a bid to mark the upcoming birthday of Iron man, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, on 31st October, the first Home Minister of independent India, SSB 27 Bn led a cycle rally. The 31st of October is also celebrated as National Unity Day all over the country to remember the contribution made by the stalwart in integrating India post Independence.
The cycle rally gradually increased with the participation of 150 school students, NCC members from GL Chaudhary, College, Barpeta Road, Barpeta Road fitness club members, residents and 200 SSB personnel. In front of the statue of warrior Chilla Rai, at Bartola market the cycle rally halted and the commander, Prabhat Krishna Yadav, addressed the locals about the importance of the day and urged them to add with series of programs in subsequent days organized by SSB.
