KOKRAJHAR: Campaigning by different political parties and candidates has gained momentum in Kokrajhar which goes to poll in the third phase on April 6.

United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) president and Chief Executive Member of BTC, Pramod Boro on Saturday attended a series of election campaigns in different parts of the three constituencies of Kokrajhar East, Kokrajhar West and Gossaigaon under Kokrajhar district for the party candidates.

Addressing the gathering at a rally at Bishmuri under Kokrajhar East constituency, Boro said that the UPPL-BJP-AGP-GSP alliance would win in all the 12 constituencies of BTR.

Boro criticized Bodoland People's Front (BPF) candidate and sitting MLA Pramila Rani Brahma, who has been representing the Kokrajhar East constituency since 1991, for doing precious little for the common masses of the constituency. He also said that Hagrama Mohilary during his 17 years tenure as the chief of BTC, had indulged in massive corruption by siphoning off development funds. He said that the Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF would face a massive defeat in the four districts of the Bodoland Territorial Region.
