Veteran award winning cine artiste Bhola Kataky critically ill

Veteran cine artiste and recipient of Natasurya Phani Sarma award, Bhola Kataky has been admitted to TMCH as his physical condition reportedly deteriorated.

Jamurighat: Veteran cine artiste and recipient of Natasurya Phani Sarma award, Bhola Kataky has been admitted to TMCH as his physical condition reportedly deteriorated due to old-age related ailments on Thursday night.

According to information, he fell unconscious while taking dinner at Sangiya Major Chuk village here on Thursday night and was immediately taken to the North Jamuguri BPH first. He was later referred to TMCH for further treatment. As per family source, he was admitted in the ICU at TMCH as he was suffering from internal bleeding from the brain.

Bhola Kataky has performed in more than 150 Assamese dramas, including Pratikriya, Bibhrat, Dashyurani, Putuli Bai, Swapna Bhanga, besides acting in famous Assamese films which include Anirban, Sadori, Raja, Urbarshi, Jalanjali etc. Organizations and individuals have offered prayers for his speedy recovery.
