BARPETA: Veteran Congress leader Dr Taraprasad Das on Thursday joined the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) with his supporters. AGP leader Phani Bhushan Choudhury was present in the joining programme. The supporters of Dr Taraprasad Das said that he was supposed to get the Congress ticket for Barpeta LAC but he was deprived of party ticket. Hence, they decided to quit the party and join the AGP.
