A CORRESPONDENT
GAURISAGAR: Dr. Krishna Kanta Hondique, noted folklore researcher, former vice principal of Jhanji HNS college, recipient of Bakul Bon and Rangamuwabir Award passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning at his Jhanji Jamuguri residence in Sivasagar district due to respiratory disorder. He was 78 . His sudden demise was widely mourned in the entire Jhanji and its adjacent areas as well as Sivasagar district. Having got the news of his demise people from various walks assembled his residence paid homage to him.
Various organizations like Jhanji HNS college, Jhanji Press Club, Jhanji HS school, Jhanji Girls HS, Axom Xahitya Xabha, Sivasagar Zila Xahitya Xabha among others paid floral tributes to him.
