Dibrugarh: The week-long campaign of Vigilance Awareness Week at Oil India Limited was inaugurated by the Resident Chief Executive, Oil India Limited (OIL), D K Das at its field headquarter, Duliajan on Monday with the mission to inculcate honesty and integrity in every aspect of business and personal dealings.
Das in his address emphasized the importance of Vigilance Awareness Week to generate awareness among the public at large and the ill-effects of corruption. He urged everyone to overcome the same. The theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week this year is 'Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat' (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). In order to sensitize the people to be vigilant against corruption and to spread the theme of this year widely, the OIL has displayed banners and hoardings in a number of places in the OIL township.
Earlier, in his welcome address, GM, Vigilance (in-charge) Anurag Gupta, spoke about Indian culture which has a deep-rooted rich, spiritual and moral heritage signifying ethical values that directs India to be vital and prosperous against all odds. As a part of the occasion, pledge of integrity was administered among all employees of OIL. In order to create awareness amongst the people against corruption and promoting integrity in every aspect of life, various events are lined up for the week-long celebration adhering to COVID protocol.
Events like online essay competition, online wall paper design competition, online drawing competition, online quiz competition, webinar by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials, online sensitization program, online vendors' meet and grievance redressal programme will be organized during the week.
