Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra begins in Kokrajhar district of Assam

The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra got underway from Wednesday in Kokrajhar district with a colourful programme.

KOKRAJHAR: The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra got underway from Wednesday in Kokrajhar district with a colourful programme. Organized by Kokrajhar District Administration, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of BTC Pramod Boro, Assam Minister for Handloom and Textile, Sericulture, Soil Conservation and Welfare of Bodoland department Urkhao Gwra Brahma, MLA Lawrence Islary, Principal Secretary P & RD, Assam J.B. Ekka and Kokrajhar District Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Dwivedi were present during the inaugural ceremony at South Kashibari playground in Kokrajhar.

On the occasion the beneficiaries of various schemes shared their experiences benefitted by the government schemes and flagship programmes.

Dorle Basumatary, a Mahila Kishan, an ASRLM beneficiary was felicitated on the occasion by the district administration. A drama “Darti Kahe Pukar”, was showcased by Jwogakkang village organizations of Janagaon, Titaguri. The Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also held at Titaguri in Kokrajhar district on Wednesday.

Organized by Kokrajhar District Administration, officials from various government departments including banks participated in the programme and informed the public about various government schemes and how to avail the benefits of the schemes. A pledge to make India a Viksit Bharat was also taken.
