RANGIA: As a part of SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation), the District Election Officer of Rangia Election District, Swapneel Paul has urged all the voters in the two assembly constituencies, namely Kamalpur and Rangia, to come together and take a pledge to vote . In response to his appeal, a record number of 15,328 people in 273 revenue villages and Rangia, Kamalpur and part of Goreswar town took the solemn pledge to vote on April 1.
This pledge event was part of the greater activity 'Voters Inspire Voters To Vote' in which entries in the form of small videos are taken from the voters appealing other voters to vote. People have been sending videos under this activity and more than 200 entries have been received so far which were played in the mega pledge event held in more than 300 locations in the election district.
Around 15,328 people taking the election pledge together at a time is a first in the entire State and is a record. The activities of DEO Rangia, Swapneel Paul for 100 per cent voting and have been admired by the people of Rangia.
