Water and sanitation hygiene project set up at Rupai High School

Under the auspices of Rotary Club of Doomdooma, a Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) project was set up

DOOMDOOMA: Under the auspices of Rotary Club of Doomdooma, a Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) project was set up at Rupai High School on Thursday.

Dr Bulu Tanti, president of the School Management and Development Committee (SMDC), inaugurated the project. Immediate Past President (IPP) of the club, Rotarian Sujit Kumar Baruah explained the project and also about various welfare projects undertaken by Rotary International globally for the benefit of mankind.

The meeting, which was anchored by Prakash Dutta, Headmaster of the school, was addressed by Dhiren Deka, president of Assam Science Writers' Association (ASWA) and Arjun Baruah, president of Tinisukia Zila Xahitya Xabha. Dhiren Deka felicitated Rotarian Sujit Kumar Baruah by presenting five books published for undertaking projects like 'Hands on Science and Mathematics learning' in schools under global grant received by the club during his tenure as president.
