TANGLA: State Finance and Health Minister and NEDA convenor Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma batted for bringing in parivartan in the Bodo belt and urged the people to vote for BJP in the forthcoming BTC general election.

Addressing a massive crowd in Kalaigaon College playground in Udalguri district on Friday, he reiterated the saffron party's commitment of inclusive growth and development of every community residing in the region.

"The HagramaMohilary-led Bodoland People's Front (BPF) has been in power for the past 15 years in the region but his tenure is marked by allegations of misappropriation of funds," he said. "The BPF remembers the Koch Rajbongshi ,Adivasis and other communities only during elections but deprives them of jobs and land rights," he added.

He further urged the people to secure their absolute rights of living with dignity and equality by voting for the saffron party. He exuded confidence that BJP would form government in BTC and asserted that every community must get equal rights in BTC and the Bodo belt, which had witnessed violence, would turn into a heaven of peace and tranquillity after the next government is formed in the council.

"We want a unified platform where every community will march ahead and inclusive growth and development will occur," he added. MangaldoiLokSabha MP Dilip Kumar Saikia, Minister of Irrigation (Independent), BhabeshKalita and former RajyaSabha MP SantiuseKujur also addressed the gathering.
