Welcome programme organised of migratory birds in Dima Hasao

HAFLONG: To spread the messages of Save Jatinga Birds, the Environment & Forest Department organised a Ceremonial Welcome programme of Migratory Birds to Dima Hasao at Jatinga Bird Watching Centre in the august presence of NCHACC chief executive member, Debolal Gorlosa in Friday.

The programme was attended by Executive Members Samuel Changsan, Nojit Kemprai, Ratan Jarambusa, Projith Hojai, MAC Fleming Rupsi, CCF M Tungnung, DFO Tuhin Langthasa Tanu Langthasa, GBs of Jatinga, N Leikuls and prominent persons of Jatinga.

CEM Gorlosa explained the importance of preservation of Jatinga birds and appealed to the people to protect and preserve the migratory birds visiting Jatinga during this phenomenon. He instructed the Forest department to be on vigil during the arrival of Migratory birds so that no one cause any harm to these winged guests of Dima Hasao. He said after the completion of the birds' arrival, the Jatinga festival will be organised. He also suggested keeping sufficient information regarding this mysterious bird phenomenon in the form of audio-visuals so that visiting tourists can get to know about the Jatinga birds phenomenon. CCF Tungnung assuring every possible helps from the Forest department appealed to enjoy the Jatinga birds phenomenon without causing any harm to these winged guests of Jatinga.
