GUWAHATI: At the Vijay Sankalpa Samabesh held in Silchar today, BJP President JP Nadda said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to taking good care of Assam's unique culture and language.
Further retweeting the speech of the national leader, Assam State Finance Minister on his Twitter handle wrote, "The Barak Valley was one of the first regions to bless us - we got 9 MLAs and 2 MPs from here. Assam has been generous with its support to @BJP4India. We're committed to taking good care of Assam's unique culture & language - Sri @JPNadda said today."
The national leader applauding people's resolve to progress, JP Nadda said that 30 per cent Assam did not have toilets before the Swachh Bharat Mission was launched.
However, now Assam is 100 per cent Open-Defecation Free (ODF), and out of the 11 crore toilets built, 35 lakh were built in this state.
The national leader also stated that the BJP government is blessed t as the Barak Valley was one of the first regions where the national party got 9 MLAs and 2 MPs.
Nadda in the Vijay Sankalpa Samabesh asserted that under the visionary leadership of PM Narendra Modi, the BJP alliance will cross 100 seats in the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections to be held in 2021.
Himanta Biswa Sarma on his Twitter handle wrote, "Vijay Sankalpa Samabesh at Silchar reiterated our promise to take Assam to glorious heights. Meanwhile, on January 10, BJP national president JP Nadda, who was in West Bengal stated that the Centre was determined to implement the new citizenship law in the country but did not set any timeframe.
"The Citizenship (Amendment) Act will be implemented in letter and spirit. We are committed. We are framing the rules," the party leader added.
