Wild jumbo kills one in West Karbi Anglong

DONGKAMUKAM: A middle-aged person named Joy Shankar Chouhan (48) of Ramthepi No 2 village, near Jengkha, West Karbi Anglong was trampled to death by a wild jumbo on Tuesday morning. Sources informed that the victim in the morning was on his way to his sugarcane field when the elephant attacked him. Later, Kheroni Forest Range officers along with Jengkha Police rushed to the spot to inquire about the situation.
