Wildlife Week observed in office premises of Nagsankar Range

As part of the 66th Wildlife Week, an awareness programme was organized in the office premises of the forest officer of Nagsankar Range on Tuesday.

Jamugurihat: As part of the 66th Wildlife Week, an awareness programme was organized in the office premises of the forest officer of Nagsankar Range on Tuesday.

Nagsankar range office of Sootea LAC comes under the jurisdiction of Biswanath wildlife subdivision and east Sonitpur subdivision of forest. The programme was chaired by range officer Debajit Saikia while forester Giri Kanta Das briefed the objectives. In the meeting, 20 forest volunteers living in the adjoining areas of the 6th addition of Kaziranga National Park who provided a helpful hand in rescuing the wild animals during the flood were felicitated with a citation paper and a gamosa. Saidur Rahman, a wildlife activist and social worker, graced the occasion as distinguished guest.
