Woman kills husband, surrenders in Silchar

SILCHAR: In a fit of fury, Mampi Begum, a housewife stabbed her husband Farmin Uddin to death. She later surrendered herself at Silchar Rangirkhari Police Station. The incident happened on Tuesday night and the husband, identified as Farmin Uddin, succumbed to his injury on Wednesday morning. Farmin Uddin, was an auto rickshaw driver. The couple had two minor sons. Neighbours said, they heard heated exchange between Farmin and Mumpi on Tuesday evening. The pair fought again later on at night. One of the sons of Farmin and Mumpi said, their parents had a family dispute and at one point the mother in a fit of fury took up a scissor and stabbed her husband at his chest and stomach. Farmin was profusely bleeding and his brother immediately rushed him to Silchar Medical College Hospital where he breathed his last on Wednesday.
