Women Entrepreneurship Awareness programme held at Tezpur LGB Girls’ College

The Women Entrepreneurship Development programme for college students was held at the Tezpur LGB Girls’ College premises.

Tezpur: The Women Entrepreneurship Development programme for college students was held at the Tezpur LGB Girls’ College premises. The programme was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprise, Government of India, Tezpur Branch, District Industry and Commerce Centre Tezpur, in association with Edupur Employment Services Pvt. Ltd.

The programme was started with the introduction of MSME schemes and benefits by Raj Mohnani, Assistant Director, MSME, Tezpur branch. Amit Raj Konwar, Founder Director, Edupur Foundation, delivered the training session to 150 college students and members. During the programme, Amit Raj Konwar said, “Most of the women want to start their new business, but lack mentorship, training and guidance due to which they are unable to do so. We need to give regular skill development programmes to college students for successful business entrepreneurs.” He also said that acquiring skills alongside formal education opens new vistas of opportunity.
