A CORRESPONDENT
LAKHIMPUR: A workshop on career counselling and career guidance was held at Egharamile Sankardev Shishu-Bidya Niketan, located in the southern part of Lakhimpur district. The programme was organized by Aswash: The Ray of Hope, an NGO in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, North Lakhimpur.
The programme was inaugurated by Narayan Phukan, the headmaster of Bordubi Janajati High School and Atul Gohain, the Pradhan Aacharya of the Niketan, by lighting the ceremonial lamps. The entire programme was held under the management of Aswash: The Ray of Hope president Bhaskar Borah, vice-president Bhupen Dutta. Dr. Debajit Dutta, the Head of the Department of Chemistry in LTK C College took part in the programme as resources person. He delivered a suggestive lecture on how to build career and importance of career counselling. Then he provided a detailed information about various lucrative careers and the ways to prepare for the them.
