A CORRESPONDENT
DOOMDOOMA: Doomdooma Girls' Higher Secondary School, in association with Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Tinsukia and APTECH Computer Education Centre and Siva Technical Enterprises of Doomdooma, conducted a one-day workshop on life skills in the school on Friday. The students of classes IX, X and XII of the school participated in the workshop which was moderated by the School Management and Development Committee president, Abhijit Khataniar.
Addressing the students as resource persons, the proprietor of Siva Technical Enterprises, Rajib Bora explained the meaning of skill and illustrated various methods as to how one can develop skills to become self-reliant in future. He assured the students to provide all sorts of help in their efforts to develop their skills for various trades and jobs. Resource persons from the APTECH Computer Education Centre and Siva Technical Enterprises Lakhindra Sonowal, Mausumi Dutta Das, Priyanka Gurung and Subhash Dey imparted training to the students through Power-point Presentation (PPP) on the various courses.
