A CORRESPONDENT
LAKHIMPUR: 'World Day for Safety and Health at Work' was observed by Lakhimpur Commerce College on Thursday along the rest of the world.
Organized by the Department of Economics, a session was held which was inaugurated by Principal Dr Lohit Hazarika. The objective of the programme was explained by Dr Sangeeta Borthakur Tamuli, Head of the Department of Economics.
Professor Sazzad Hussain, Head of the Department of English and columnist, attended the session as resource person. He spoke on the local aspects of the significance of the day by calling to keep a vigil on the violation of rights of safety and health at work. An open discussion was held at the session which was participated by Professors TC Deka, Dr SM Borgohain, Bhrigu Phukan and others.
