TANGLA: A youth allegedly committed suicide after he was upset over a quarrel with his girlfriend in Beltola village under Kalaigaon PS of Udalguri district on Wednesday. According to reports, Tanmoy Jyoti Nath (22) was an engineering student of a private engineering college in Guwahati. He was in a relationship with a girl for three years but things turned bitter between them in the last couple of days owing to which he allegedly killed himself at his residence in Kalaigaon. Sources said that his mother and sister were at a relative's place at the time of the incident. Police have registered a case and the girl's statement was recorded.
