Youth dies in road mishap in Kalaigaon

According to locals, Pulakesh Barua was on his way home from his work place at Tangla on his bike and the bike hit a tree near the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road at Meska.

KALAIGAON: Pulakesh Barua (25), son of Biren Barua of village Naharbari under Kalaigaon Police Station, died on the spot in a road mishap at Meska on Monday night which apparently has cast a pall of gloom in the entire area of Kalaigaon.

According to locals, Pulakesh Barua was on his way home from his work place at Tangla on his bike and the bike hit a tree near the Mangaldai-Bhutiachang road at Meska. He died on the spot. Later, the Kalaigaon Police reached the accident spot and recovered the body and sent it for post mortem on Tuesday morning.

Pulakesh was appointed as Veterinary Field Assistant in January at the Tangla Veterinary State Dispensary. Dr NC Kalita, District Veterinary Officer of Udalguri, expressed deep condolence at the demise of Pulakesh Barua.
