IMPHAL: Two earthquakes measuring 4.0 and 2.8 magnitude hit Manipur on Saturday. A quake measuring 2.8 magnitude on the Richter scale was felt in Manipur's Senapati area. The tremor was felt around 6.54 AM at a depth of 10 KM. The second earthquake was slightly higher in magnitude. It was 4.0 on the Richter scale and jolted Manipur at around 10.19 AM at a depth of 30 KM. The National Centre for Seismology shared the information via Twitter.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:4.0, occurred on 21-11-2020, 10:19:36 IST, Lat: 24.92 & Long: 94.88, Depth: 30 Km ,Location: 40km E of Ukhrul, Manipur, India." No casualty or loss of property has been reported due to the earthquakes. (Agencies)
