IMPHAL: The Black Rice of Manipur, locally known as Chak-Hao will be available at the European markets soon.
According to reports, Manipur chief minister Biren Singh, on Thursday, flagged off a consignment of Black Rice to Europe.
Biren Singh said: "Flagged off the Europe bound consignment of Black Rice (Chak-Hao) today. The support extended by Govt. of India has enabled our farmers to export our products at a remunerative price."
Manipur CM Biren Singh also released a special cover on Kachai Lemon for the Postal Department.
Biren Singh tweeted: "With this special cover released today, I'm hoping the whole country recognizes the uniqueness and identity of Kachai lemon grown in Ukhrul dist, Manipur."
