Manipur government to reward employees for outstanding performances

Innovative and extraordinary work done by officials of Manipur government will be rewarded by the state government with Chief Minister's Award for Good Governance.

IMPHAL: Imphal: Innovative and extraordinary work done by officials of Manipur government will be rewarded by the state government with Chief Minister's Award for Good Governance. Employees whose projects have a qualitative and quantitative outcome of a very high order which has benefitted several citizens and stakeholders will be rewarded. Besides, successful completion of an extraordinary challenge or major systemic improvement resulting in significant benefits to the public or reduction in time for production and implementation shall be considered for the Award.

The award is said to be given every year as either individual or team to the administrative secretaries, deputy commissioners, heads of department, heads of engineering departments (CEs or equivalent) and to any official or department, it declared that the cash award for the individual category will be Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh for group category. It further notified that all serving officers under the state government including officers on deputation, officers under public sector undertaking, municipalities and autonomous bodies, autonomous district councils, either individually or as a team will be eligible for the Award.

However, to claim team nomination, every team member will have to be actively involved. The notification also mentioned that the award shall be presented on a date and time decided by Chief Minister N Biren Singh, most probably on Statehood Day, Republic Day or Independence Day.
