The high-intensity storm was accompanied by hail and strong winds, causing damage to houses and other infrastructure.

The storm began at around midnight and lasted for around 15 minutes, damaging dwelling houses, uprooting outhouses, trees and electricity poles in the districts of Bishnupur and Churachandpur.
