110 Corona patients recover in Meghalaya with 23 new cases

Meghalaya, on Monday, recorded 23 new COVID-19 cases — one of the lowest in recent weeks — even as 110 persons recovered from the infection.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya, on Monday, recorded 23 new COVID-19 cases — one of the lowest in recent weeks — even as 110 persons recovered from the infection. Of the new cases, 11 were detected in East Khasi Hills, six in West Jaintia Hills, five in Ri-Bhoi and one in East Garo Hills. The State's active cases stand at 2,069. The number of deaths stands at 75, informed Director of Health Services (MI), Dr. Aman War. Of the new recovered cases, 72 were detected in East Khasi Hills, 23 in Ri-Bhoi, 13 in West Garo Hills, one in West Jaintia Hills and one in South West Garo Hills. The total recovered case in the State is now 6,392.

Of the 1,88,256 samples sent for COVID-19 testing till date, a total of 1,79,720 samples tested negative.

Meanwhile, the number of people who entered Meghalaya till Monday is 50,124, Dr. War also informed Dr War.
