SHILLONG: According to the National Center for Seismology, Meghalaya's Nongpoh had an earthquake on Sunday night that measured 3.2 on the Richter scale (NCS).
The earthquake struck at 23:28 p.m. in the East Northeast of Nongpoh, according to readings from the NCS. The earthquake occurred 10 kilometres below the surface of the earth.

According to reports, another earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale had struck Jhajjar in Haryana earlier that day, in the early hours of Sunday. The nation's capital and its environs felt the earthquake's vibrations. The NCS reported that the earthquake had happened at 1:19 am in Jhajjar, Haryana's north-northwest region. The earthquake occurred 5 kilometres beneath the surface.

According to a recent official dispatch, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 recently struck the north-central region of Assam as well.
According to the statement, there were no early reports of any fatalities or property damage.
The epicentre of the earthquake, which occurred at 12:27 p.m., was located in the Darrang district on the Brahmaputra river's northern bank, according to the National Center for Seismology.
It stated that the earthquake's depth was 10 kilometres.
Along with those in the districts of Udalguri, Tamulpur, Kamrup, and Sonitpur, residents in Morigaon and Nagaon on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra felt the tremor.
The northeastern states are located in a high seismic zone, which is frequently struck by earthquakes.
