320 new Covid cases, 3 deaths registered in Meghalaya

Meghalaya on Saturday registered 320 new COVID-19 cases and registered 3 deaths, all in the East Khasi Hills.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Saturday registered 320 new COVID-19 cases and registered 3 deaths, all in the East Khasi Hills.

Meanwhile, the State also recorded 320 new recovered cases in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of recovered cases in the State has reached 86,585.

The tally of active cases has increased to 2,419, the Health Department said in a bulletin.

The total number of fatalities from Covid-19 infection stands at 1,518 so far.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of active cases with 1,342. West Khasi Hills has 38 active cases, East Garo Hills 21, West Garo Hills 475, Ri-Bhoi 176, West Jaintia Hills 78, East Jaintia Hills 29, South West Khasi Hills 48, South Garo Hills 32, North Garo Hills 50, Eastern West Khasi Hills 57 and South West Garo Hills 73.

The 320 new COVID-19 cases which have been detected are from the East Khasi Hills (171), Eastern West Khasi Hills (11), East Jaintia Hills (2), Ri-Bhoi (14), South Garo Hills (8), South West Khasi Hills (7), West Jaintia Hills (7), West Garo Hills (57), North Garo Hills (6), West Khasi Hills (12), South West Garo Hills (24) and East Garo Hills (1). The 320 recovered cases are from the East Khasi Hills (207), East Jaintia Hills (8), East Garo Hills (5), Ri-Bhoi (16), North Garo Hills (9), South Garo Hills (6), South West Garo Hills 1, West Jaintia Hills 14, South West Khasi Hills 5, West Garo Hills (53) and West Khasi Hills (1).
