80-year-old woman beats COVID virus in Shillong

SHILLONG: An 80-year-old woman recovered from COVID-19 and was discharged from Bethany hospital on Thursday. A hospital statement said, "The patient was admitted in our hospital on October 5. She was suffering from fever and cough. She also had difficulty in breathing, bodyache, sore throat, vomiting and pain in the abdomen. "Her HRCT Thorax showed features of COVID pneumonia. She also has comorbidities of diabetes and hypertension. She was put on high flow oxygen support for the first seven days and provided other treatments as per protocol. She tested negative for COVID-19 on the 10th day. It's fantastic to see our patients recover."
