COVID-19: Recoveries outnumber new infections in Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Monday recorded more recovered cases than new infections thus bringing down the active cases. Health authorities informed that the State recorded three more fatalities, 108 new cases and 230 more people recovered from the virus. With the latest figures, the State now has 1,395 deaths, 1,752 total active cases and 77,750 have so far recovered from the virus. All the three deaths were recorded from East Khasi Hills district and the deceased were not vaccinated against the virus. Of the 108 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 72, West Jaintia Hills district 15, Ri-Bhoi district and West Khasi Hills district recorded nine each South West Khasi Hills district two and West Garo Hills district one.
