Dr BR Ambedkar's statue unveiled at USTM Campus by Lahkmen Rymbui

A 10-feet-tall statue of Dr B R Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, was unveiled at the campus of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Monday by Lahkmen Rymbui, Education Minister of Meghalaya, in the presence of Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor of USTM, Prof G.D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of USTM, and other dignitaries as well as the teacher and student community of the university.

GUWAHATI/Ri Bhoi: A 10-feet-tall statue of Dr B R Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, was unveiled at the campus of the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Monday by Lahkmen Rymbui, Education Minister of Meghalaya, in the presence of Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor of USTM, Prof G.D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of USTM, and other dignitaries as well as the teacher and student community of the university.

Unveiling Dr Ambedkar's statue in front of the University School of Law and Research at USTM, Rymbui said, "This statue will remind us of the unity in diversity in India." He said that Dr Ambedkar had taught the values of equality and inclusion, which he enshrined in the Constitution of India, stated a press release.
