Education Minister L. Rymbui launched training programme for teachers of Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Education Minister L. Rymbui on Monday launched the National Initiative for School Heads and Teachers for Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) 2.0, an integrated training programme for Secondary and Higher Secondary teachers of Meghalaya, at the conference hall, Directorate of Education Research & Training, Shillong.

Addressing the gathering, Rymbui urged upon the teaching fraternity to take part in the online training programme which would benefit the teachers in the future. He also said that teaching was a profession that required specialization in terms of knowledge and skills. The minister further said that education had played a vital role and had contributed a lot in shaping the students and the society. He also said that one of the most important requirements to promote and strengthen education was the training of teachers who were the key resources in the reform, redirection and renewal of education.
