A CORRESPONDENT
SHILLONG: A one-day city consultation with stakeholders working in the Health and Urban Management sectors in Shillong, organized by NITI Aayog jointly with USAID, PSI- SAMAGRA and office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district, was held on Wednesday at Pinewood Hotel, Shillong.
The consultation aims to discuss the bottlenecks and opportunities in the governance of Urban Health Systems.
The topics for the day-long programme included: 'Meghalaya: Urban Health and Governance', 'Shillong City: Urban Health Challenges and Expectations', 'Participatory deliberation on Urban Health Challenges of Shillong and Strengthening Governance of Urban Health Systems Suggestions for improvements'.
The facilitators are from NITI Aayog and PSI.
The programme was attended by RM Kurbah, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya, Isawanda Laloo, Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills district, Health Officials and representatives from different Government departments among others.
