Shillong: The Mobile Internet Services in Meghalaya was resumed after almost eight days. The internet services were suspended amid the violent protests over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
It may be mentioned that the ban on mobile internet was restored at around 7 pm on December 13, 2019 due to improvement in law and order condition in the state.
Sources also informed that Chief Minister Conrad Sangma reviewed the law and order situation in the state with the Home Department and accordingly issued instructions for restoring mobile internet and messaging services in the State.
