Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas from November 15 in Meghalaya

The Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride) and Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Yatra Week will be celebrated from November 15 to 26.

SHILLONG: The Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas (Tribal Pride) and Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Yatra Week will be celebrated from November 15 to 26.

The programme will be started on November 15 by being flagged off by the Meghalaya Chief Secretary of the Cultural Procession/March on Tribal Pride by artists, cultural troops, and cultural associations from the Meghalaya Assembly premises at Khyndai Lad, followed by the official function at the U Soso Tham Auditorium, which will be graced by the Minister of Arts and Culture, Bah Paul Lyngdoh, as the Chief Guest and CEM, KHADC, Bah Pyniaid Syiem, as the Guest of Honour.

On November 16, a synthesis of rhythm and art was held to revive and promote the cultural heritage of Meghalaya at the U Soso Tham Auditorium.

From November 24 to 25, the TRI Hill Ensemble II Programme, along with the Inter-Department Exhibition (Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat Yatra), will be organised at the State Central Library Complex and U Soso Tham Auditorium. The programme will be graced by the Chief Minister of Meghalaya as the Chief Guest and the Minister of Arts and Culture as the Guest of Honour, stated a press release.
