SHILLONG: A new Khasi film titled ‘Ka Nongrim ’ meaning ‘Principles' will be released in cinemas in the city on January 17.
The release will also attended by Commander Shangpliang, president of the Meghalaya Film Makers Association (MFLiM) among others. Speaking to reporters, RK Sayo -- the producer of this film -- informed that the film is about the life struggles of the youths in the present time.
When asked, he said that the film took almost two years to be completed adding that "there were plenty of challenges along the way".
He also said that the film was produced at an approximate cost of Rs 7 lakhs.
Shangpliang has urged the public to go and watch the film in the theatres as it will encourage the local film-makers to continue creating new films.
"Film making is also a way of employment and it can also generate employment to other youths. Hence the public support is must. They can buy the tickets and watch the film at the cinema halls," he said.
