Mamta To Visit Northeastern State of Meghalaya Before Christmas

Notably, with this development, now TMC has emerged as the principal opposition party in the northeastern state of Meghalaya.

Guwahati: In a bid to expand party's wings in North Eastern State, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) Chief Mamta Banerjee is expected to visit Meghalaya before Christmas Eve.

Reportedly, Banerjee is first expected to visit Assam and will offer Puja at Kamakhya temple in Guwahati and after that she will travel to Meghalaya's capital, Shillong.

Recently, the TMC has welcomed new members in as the former Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, along with 11 of the 17 Congress legislators in the northeastern state joined the party.

Notably, with this development, now TMC has emerged as the principal opposition party in the northeastern state of Meghalaya.
