MDA will complete its tenure: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister and National People's Party (NPP) leader Prestone Tynsong has said that the ruling MDA is united and strong and all MLAs are with it. He further said that the alliance will complete its tenure.

Talking to The Sentinel, he further said that he does not have information of a few Congress MLAs sending feelers to the MDA.

It may be mentioned that reports have surfaced that a few Opposition Congress MLAs are considering joining the MDA alliance. "These are just rumours. I have not heard anything nor has any Congress MLAs contacted with me on this issue," Tynsong said.

In this connection, former Chief Minister and Opposition leader in the State Assembly Dr. Mukul Sangma said, "Its all rumours.. Congress doesn't work on individual fancies." Meanwhile, Dr Sangma who is also the congratulated Dr WR Kharlukhi for wining the Rajya Sabha MP election.
