SHILLONG: Local MLA from South Shillong, Sanbor Shullai conducted a meeting-cum inspection at Iewdak Parking Lot Laban in presence of Edward Kharwanlang-Rangbah Shnong, Joy Rynjah, Secretary Shnong and Rangbah Dong of Dorbar Shnong Laban and officials of PWD/ PHE Department/ Shillong Municipal Board and MePDCL Department.
Thereafter, a meeting-cum inspection was also held at Lumsohphoh, Upper Lumparing in presence of H B Wahlang- Rangbah Shnong, R. Nongkynrih- Secretary Shnong and Rangbah Dong of Dorbar Shnong Upper Lumparing and officials of PWD/ PHE Department/ Shillong Municipal Board and MePDCL Department. A meeting-cum inspection was also held at Lower Lumparing Indoor Sports Stadium in presence of Doncaster Shabong- Ranbah Shnong, Reston Shabong-Secretary Shnong and Rangbah Dong of Dorbar Shnong of PWD/ PHE Department/ Shillong Municipal Board and MePDCL Department, members of local NGOs and general public of Greater Laban area and Greater Lumparing area on October 23 to discuss regarding early completion and commissioning of ongoing additional water supply and improvement of Greater Laban Water Supply Scheme and Greater Lumparing Water Supply Scheme and also regarding early completion of the ongoing construction of PWD roads/ drains and regarding repair and improvement of non-functioning of street lights within the Greater Laban Area, Greater Lumparing Area and within the South Shillong constituency.
During the meeting, a resolution was adopted by giving two weeks time to all departments concerned to immediately solve all the public grievances regarding ongoing works for additional water supply, ongoing construction of PWD eoads/ drains and non-functioning of street lights within 19th South Shillong Constituency.
MLA Sanbor Shullai during his speech express his sincere thanks to the land owners who have parted their land free of cost, the Dorbar Shnong of Laban /Lower Lumparing /Upper Lumparing the officials of PWD/PHE/ MePDCL and Shillong Municipal Board for their help and support in making this dream come true as this ongoing construction of sanctioned motorable link roads and ongoing works of sanctioned additional PHE and municipal water supply would be great help for the people.
