SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Wednesday recorded 422 new cases, 458 recoveries and three more deaths from COVID-19. With the latest figures, the number of fatalities has gone up to 92, there are 3925 active cases and so far 50,794 persons have recovered. Of the three deaths - two were recorded in East Khasi Hills and one in West Jaintia Hills.
Of the 422 new COVID-19 cases West Garo Hills district recorded 131, East Khasi Hills district recorded 121, Ri-Bhoi district 86, East Garo Hills district 18, West Jaintia Hills 16, South West Khasi Hills district 12, North Garo Hills district 11, South Garo Hills and South West Garo Hills districts eight each, East Jaintia Hills district six and West Khasi Hills district five.
Of the 3925 active cases, East Khasi Hills district has 1079, Ri-Bhoi district 749, West Garo Hills district 697, West Jaintia Hills district 490, West Khasi Hills district 228, North Garo Hills district 164, East Garo Hills district 133, South West Khasi Hills district 115, East Jaintia Hills district 102, South Garo Hills district 92 and South West Garo Hills district 76.
