SHILLONG: Meghalaya recorded another 10 more deaths related to COVID-19 on Wednesday, informed health authorities, adding that of them nine were not vaccinated. East Khasi Hills district recorded seven new deaths, West Khasi Hills district two and West Jaintia Hills district one.
The State also recorded 463 new cases even as 384 persons recovered from the infection. Till date, the State has 1,195 deaths; 4,496 active cases; and 64,541 patients have recovered from the virus.
Of the 463 new cases, 255 were recorded in East Khasi Hills District; 67 in West Khasi Hills; 40 in West Garo Hills; 28 in Ri Bhoi; 25 in West Jaintia Hills; 16 in South West Khasi Hills; 13 in East Jaintia Hills; seven each in South Garo Hills district and South West Garo Hills; three in North Garo Hills; and two in East Garo Hills District.
Of the 4,496 active cases, East Khasi Hills district has 1,981 followed by 626 in West Khasi Hills; 524 in West Garo Hills district; 443 in West Jaintia Hills; 437 in Ri-Bhoi; 219 in South West Khasi Hills; 63 in East Jaintia Hills; 56 in East Garo Hills; 54 in North Garo Hills; 48 in South West Garo Hills; and 45 in South Garo Hills District.
