Meghalaya logs 425 fresh COVID cases and two more fatalities

Meghalaya, on Sunday, recorded 425 new COVID-19 cases and two more fatalities even as 421 persons recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya, on Sunday, recorded 425 new COVID-19 cases and two more fatalities even as 421 persons recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours. The State now has 4,365 active cases; and 49307 has so far recovered from the virus and a total of 908 have died. East Khasi Hills and West Jaintia Hills recorded one fatality each. Of the 425 new infections, 121 were recorded in West Garo Hills; 97 in East Khasi Hills; 71 in Ri-Bhoi; 50 in West Jaintia Hills; 23 in East Garo Hills;15 in West Khasi Hills;12 in South West Khasi Hills; 11 in North Garo Hills;10 in East Jaintia Hills; eight in South West Garo Hills; and seven in South Garo Hills.

Of the 4365 active cases, 1,334 were registered in East Khasi Hills; 887 in Ri-Bhoi; 640 in West Garo Hills; 527 in West Jaintia Hills; 265 in West Khasi Hills; 189 in North Garo Hills; 124 in East Jaintia Hills; 122 in East Garo Hills; 111 in South West Khasi Hills; 97 in South Garo Hills; and 69 in South West Garo Hills.
